The genus Nepeta includes the herb catnip, but is more broadly referred to as "catmint," with catnip being a very particular type. All are members of the mint family and feature aromatic leaves and flowers. Members of the Nepeta/catmint group have been cultivated into a range of ornamental forms and flower colours, so we list them separately here.
