Brussels Sprouts seeds produce tall, upright stalks covered in flower buds that resemble miniature cabbages. These are full of beta carotene, vitamin C and fiber. We plant Brussels sprouts seeds in the vegetable garden in the summer for harvest in the fall and early winter. If you were put off steamed or boiled Brussels sprouts as a child, try them again as a flavourful roasted vegetable in summer meals. They match beautifully with the strong umami flavours of sharp cheese, bacon, wine, or mushrooms.
