Providence Farm is a supportive community that has been nestled in the heart of Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia since 1979. Today, Providence Farm provides over 180 weekly program spaces to adults living with mental health, substance use, brain injury, age-related illness and developmental disabilities. The Farm's community-inclusive experiences are person-centered activities with a foundation in Nature Based Therapy and Trauma Informed Practices. Together, The Farm’s community cares for each other and the land, while focusing on holistic development, learning and growth.

With Nature Based Therapy at the heart of our programming, gardening and working on the farm plays a pivotal role in bettering the lives of all members of our community. Not only do we acknowledge the therapeutic values of working at the farm, we also emphasize a regenerative way of farming; working with the land. This regenerative approach helps promote the idea that by taking care of the soil we are taking care of the plants; thereby taking care of ourselves and one another.

As a registered Charity, Providence Farm gratefully receives donations to continue its important work of stewardship of the land and delivery of programs and services. Year after year, West Coast Seeds generously donates seeds which help to both literally and philosophically assist the Farm with its goal to plant hope and harvest joy.
